Here are the latest two weaving experiments. They measure about 6″ x 11″. Five more are in the works and will be shared on Monday. Have a great weekend!

I love, love the Wasara paper dinnerware collection and finally got a bit of time to add some threads to it.

I have huge love for Sheila Hicks and after seeing her show decided to make my own mini weavings. The materials include handmade printed and twisted yarn, natural fibers and rubber. There will be a total of 10 and may be available on Etsy someday. I was thinking they would be nice framed… we’ll see.

I saw the Brooklyn band People Get Ready open for Deerhoof on Monday and they were impressive. Catch ‘em if you can. Gase and Buke were even more impressive. For only two people they sure can make complex music. I liked them more than Deerhoof which is saying a lot because they are pretty awesome too.
They ran a kickstarter campaign last year to raise funds to make an album. The sound isn’t great but it’s a nice little video with lots of hidden messages.

The fine people at Little White Lies created a magazine on a single scroll. They were inspired by Kerouac’s original On the Road manuscript and filmed the 12 hour making. Contributing illustrators: Paul Willoughby, Rupert Smissen, Lauren Gentry, Adrian Johnson, Eve Lloyd Knight.
