A fan video for Menomena’s Dirty Cartoons (Mines album) by Trevor McMahan, Blaine Kneece, Kelly Brickner, and Amalia Luyet. Menomena’s links: myspace, website.
As it turns out, blogging is difficult to do while traveling. I’m busy catching up with close friends and meeting the new little people a few have made in the past year. I’m also going to Menomena’s show at the Crystal Ballroom on Sept 11th and have hopes I can listen to The Nationals the next day without buying a ticket. I will let you know how that goes.

This video feels much more serious than the trio I saw in the woods. It’s a gorgeous video with lovely textures (the ice on [...]
I’m in Portland, Oregon now and am thrilled for the Pickathon Music Festival this weekend ! Three days of relaxing with friends while listening to bands – how lucky am I? I will be sure to share the highlights next Monday. Until then, take a listen on the Pickathon Web site.
About to wrap up my visit this week to my home town, Iowa City, Iowa. I’ve had a great time visiting friends and family and seeing all the changes that have taken place over the years to this college town. When I was in my teens and early twenties I had a few favorite shops [...]
Every Thursday, Tsilli Pines and I post a note to each other on our Flickr sites. You can see follow our correspondence here: mine and Tsilli’s. As many of you know traveling or living in another country can seriously challenge your taste buds. I happen to love spices and all of my favorites are in [...]

I’m off to enjoy the beautiful Rocky Mountains for some camping today and I might need to pick up the Punch Brothers‘ album Antifogmatic for the drive. I was super happy to see they are playing Pickathon in Oregon so I’ll be able to see them live! Here’s their myspace link for a listen. Enjoy.
