MUSIC monday : thievery corporation

by admin on September 20, 2011

An oldie but a goodie, Thievery Corporation‘s Lebanese Blonde dates back to 1998. The group was formed by Rob Garza and Eric Hilton of Washington DC in the summer of 1995. I’ve worked through countless long nights listening to these guys. They have a way of keeping the good vibes going even if you’ve overdosed on coffee and have only had one meal.

MUSIC monday : on-airstream

by admin on September 13, 2011

Okay, how did I miss this?! An Airstream that serves as a recording studio for select acoustic performances? It’s called On-Airstream. It’s like a whole new level of cool. It’s like a tree house in NYC cool. Did any of you know about it? Well if you didn’t, prepare to ooh and ahh at the sweetness of this video of Angus and Julia Stone. And, if you’re wondering where her sweet accent is from, they (brother and sister) are from Sydney, Australia. Now, pick up your instant coffee in your tin coffee cup and let’s go to the Airstream!

I post every Monday to share music that I’m particularly excited about or that I’m currently listening to. Music is such an integral part of my life as a designer. I honestly can’t separate them—nor would I ever want to! I hope you enjoy my selections. Drop me a note if you hear of anything new you think I would enjoy, and, thanks!
